First Descents
First Descents offers young adult cancer fighters and survivors (ages 18 to 39) a free outdoor adventure experience designed to empower them to climb, paddle and surf beyond their diagnosis, defy their cancer, reclaim their lives and connect with others doing the same.


Imerman Angels
Imerman Angels provides personal connections that enable 1-on-1 support for among cancer survivors, fighters, and care givers.

Fin Forward is a shark diving project for cancer survivors. They also offer encounters with dolphins, rays, and whales. They are currently looking for more sponsors to help get their project up and running where they can offer services to more survivors.

SY's FUN:D
SY's FUN:D is here to help young adults with cancer by funding their creative passions, pursuits, and hobbies as well as integrative therapies such as acupuncture, reflexology, and therapeutic massage.

Lynch Syndrome and Colon Cancer Resources

LSI offers information and support for people and families diagnosed with Lynch Syndrome. They also strive to educate the public and the medical community about Lynch associated hereditary cancers.

The Colon Club is dedicated to raising awareness for colon cancer in out of the box ways. They produce a calendar every year of young adult survivors showing off their colon surgery scars. The website also has a very helpful forum. (I must plug here that I am Miss December 2012!)

The Colon Cancer Alliance (CCA) is the leading national patient advocacy organization dedicated to increasing screening rates and survivorship.

Fight Colorectal Cancer is the leading colorectal cancer advocacy organization in Washington, DC, empowering survivors to raise their voices, training advocates around the country, and educating lawmakers and pushing them for better policies.
